Shop Update

Orange & Gray Stripes Bustier Top, Orange & Gray Stripes Dress

The shop is updated with two new items! I have a new section called “What’s New” so that it is easier for people to see what just came in to the shop.

I wish I could add more new items every week. I have a really busy weekend ahead with friends from the States coming over 🙂
I love the cropped bustier top I made, and will be making more of it in different color and fabric soon.

Mommy’s Diary 45: Parenting Ups & Downs

11 Months old this week! Kiko and I had a play date today with my friend and her 2 year old daughter. We went to a local to a petting zoo. It was fun! The weather finally warmed up a bit, it felt great walking around in the sunny warm weather. I made dresses for both Kiko and I using the lace fabric and neon piping I recently bought, but I did not get to take clear photos of them so more on that later. I was a bit embarrassed to wear too matchy-matchy clothes, so I tried to tone it down down with different color cardigans – gray for me and pink for Kiko.

I enjoy reading “parenting ups and downs” posts at Jen Loves Kev, and so I documented my ups and downs this week:

Ups this week

1. Kiko sat through the church service without making much noise. She sat on my lap and hung out. I bribed her a little i.e., food and books, but nonetheless I was proud!
2. Pretending to speak some words, or at least trying to immitate her favorite sounds. She likes the “head, shoulders, knees and toes” song, and she tries “hea….” but after that she gets confused:p
3. Standing on her own for longer periods of time!
Downs this week:
1. Making a lot of mess while eating. I don’t know how many times a day we sweep or wipe the floor! We are teaching her to eat on her own with her own hands.
2. She likes to pull my hair..ouch! How can I make her stop?
3. Some diaper rash along the line of where the diaper ends. I’m thinking this is because she moves around a lot and the diaper rubs against her skin? We all know how uncomfortable it is to wear pads during period! I can’t imagine wearing that for 2 straight years until she is potty trained!
