About using second hand kimono
Kimono is made out of fabrics of narrow width, usually about 35cm. It is natural to see that there are connection lines between fabrics. I will match up the patterns when I make a dress so that there won’t be unnecessary gaps between patterns.
Kimono fabrics are 100% silk in both face and lining unless otherwise noted. If you intend to wear your kimono dress on a regular basis and intend lto wash it at home, please let me know. I will wash the kimono before making it into a dress to pre-shrunk the fabric. Otherwise it will be made without being washed should be dry cleaned only.
Please note that there might be some discoloration or stain since we will be using second hand kimono. I will try to avoid those areas as much as possible, but might not be totally unavoidable in all cases.
Remnant fabric will not be sent to you unless you ask ahead of time. If you want the remnant fabric to be included, there will be an additional charge of 1,000 yen for international shipping (no extra cost for domestic shipping).
