Welcome to my new site. What does everyone think? I myself am happy with it. Now I can “reply” to each comments, which blogger didn’t allow me to do. Special thanks to my dear friend, Naoko, who did the make-over for me!
This year I actually was on the receiving of Mother’s day presents! It was such a strange feeling to wake up and actually have a present waiting for me on Mother’s Day. It still feels strange to me that I’m a “mother” now. Andy was thoughtful as usual. He failed a little (He forgot to wrap the gifts) but he did remember to buy something and it wasn’t a book (there is a story that goes along with that comment). Anyway We went out to Odaiba on Saturday to do some photo shoot scouting and while there had the opportunity to hit up there awesome shopping spots. While I was meeting up with a photographer, Andy and Kiko went out on a hunt of there own. Apparently, Andy brought various presents in front of Kiko and “let her choose” depending on the sound she made. Kiko really liked the Coach bag he showed her but Andy told her no because of the price. Eventually Kiko cooed a happy sound when shown a bottle of Samourai perfume and a teddy bear holding a flower…you can see the pics above 🙂 What did you guys get on your first Mothers Day? Are you supposed to keep the items? In Japan they keep every first thing, even the umbilical chord when that falls off. The hospital gave a little wooden box for me to keep the umbilical chord. I actually threw away SK’s umbilical chord when it fell off, which made my mother mad for not following the tradition!
I also I need to give a big thank you hug to Amber of Willow Would for sending Sophia an adorable set of baby moccasins. You can see them above. She wore them more than three times to her little outings already! Amber also sent me a link for the tutorial and free pattern on how to make these tiny shoes here. I will definitely make another pair when little S.K. becomes bigger S.K.
