im working on a pea coat now. its taking me forever! i worked on it for a couple of hours on saturday, sunday afternoon, and today, monday.. but i have not been able to finish it:(
its a double breasted coat with cotton linings. i thought i could do it in a day or so since i’ve made jackets before.
plus, i think when i wear the coat, i look like kim jeon ill…. north korean dictator! awww..

as i said in my burdastyle post, i love fleece. i love how it feels on skin, soft and warm in the winter. what i don’t love is that every fleece jacket seems way too sporty and not cute.
so i made this little pink riding hood jacket out of pink fleece. after i made this, andy pointed out that i cut off sleeves too short again. i like cropped sleeves, but they are not practical in this cold weather. i guess i can just wear a long sleeve or wear gloves.

this is something that i made for my friend…i used dark purple satin, with lining. im actually thinking of making one for my self in black silk for my upcoming wedding anniversary…
