Guest Blogging at iCandy handmade!

Hi everyone! Today I’m guest blogging over at iCandy handmade. They are having “Fun in the Sun{dress}” series, where different sewers share their sun dresses and tutorials. Guest bloggers include Casey from Elegant Musings and Adey from The Sew Convert, two of my favorite sewing bloggers!

I’m sharing a tutorial on how to make my “fancy free” dress/tunic above. It’s so easy and perfect as a beach cover-up:) I made it with a fun print cotton I got at Ikea the other day. Check out my tutorial here!

Five Lovely Things

Happy 4th of July! Although I’m not an American, half of my family is American. I must say that I always loved the 4th of July when I lived in the States. Fireworks, BBQ’s, getting together with family and friends…:) I miss that! I spent just an ordinary Monday here in Japan, running errands, taking care of the baby, working out at the gym, and sewing.

Lookbook: After the Carnival

The new lookbook “After the Carnival” is up on my website under “Collections”! I’m so excited about this new lookbook. After going from dreamy (Secret Garden) to edgy and dark (Flicker), it is a nice change to have a lookbook that features crisp, clear images with fun bright colors.

As I mentioned before, we initially planned on shooting outside but because of the rain, we had to improvise and do a studio shoot. This was my first studio shooting experience, and it was so much fun! You can tell that we were having fun! The smiles were genuine.  Who wouldn’t have fun with balloons, bubbles and popcorn…:)
