Happy Easter! Just a quick post about the shop update – with some neon piping I had left from making the lace dress, I made two new items for the shop. Check out here 🙂

Happy Friday! I am so ready for the weekend. This is the first weekend in a while that I don’t have anything planned. I’m looking forward to spending the day with my family, relaxing. What are your weekend plans?
1. Vintage high waist trousers that I scored for $6. Look at the belt loop details! I love it. I have to incorporate this into my sewing.
2. Experimenting with unusual color combinations, like mint + purple. I also love navy + lilac and pink + red.
3. Spring nails! Don’t they remind you of Easter eggs?
4. Do you remember friendship bracelets? When I was little, the were called “promise rings” in Japan…only in Japan. I remember learning to knot the embroidery flosses in different ways to make bracelets. I recently saw some friendship bracelets in the instagram pictures (search #armswag, and you’ll find a ton of inspiration!) and decided to make them again. Oh I love it. I’m making them for no specific purpose, but just knotting the flosses for hours is amazingly relaxing. :p I used the tutorials from this site (Japanese).
5. New heels with metal caps from ASOS. I love them but they hurt!

I’ve been wanting a cute letter object for a nursery for a while, something like this shop has. But these are quite expensive. So I was thrilled when I came across this tutorial of the yarn wrapped letter.
Basically, you use a cardboard to create a base shape, and wrap the yarn around to hide the cardboard. I used fabric scraps instead since I figured it would take less time. I didn’t have a patience of wrapping the yard around for a million times!
It was a fun project. I made this on the same day as I made the pig pinata. Plus, Kiko got to play with some pieces of cardboard 🙂
