I have recently been doing a much needed overhaul of my site. My site is finally mobile friendly! You don’t have to pinch in to zoom when you are looking from your phone. I’m very excited about that:) My new theme is from Lovely Confetti – Christina has many beautiful, romantic and modern WordPress themes. As I was making the updates, I flipped through the old blog posts and I thought it might be fun to take a look back in my archives and showcase some fun gifts I made in the past. Since I have daughters, most projects have a girl focus, so it would be great to give to mom of girls for upcoming Holiday. First up is this little ruffle apron. I made it when Kiko was two but she still wears it to do tea parties or when she does cooking lessons at her daycare. 
I made this for my friend as a gift and it took her through her entire nursing period! It is so easy to make. The tutorial comes with an easy-to-follow diagram.
Great addition to kid’s room wall. When you look for deer head decor in stores, it is quite expensive but you can make your own with dollar store clay and a stick from the park! 
How about gifting a handmade silk eye mask for a new mom? It might come in handy when taking a nap with her newborn. 
This little plaid skirt is a great project for a sewing beginner. You only need a small amount of fabric, and it is all straight sewing!

I was really excited when I found 
Nothing much to mention in terms of construction of the dress. It is pretty simple to sew and it took me two hours from tracing the patterns, cutting the fabric and finishing up the dress. The dress has a back slit for easy neck opening and gathered neckline in the front. The neckline is finished with the same fabric (not cut in bias since it is knit fabric and already has stretch). I added the snap button in the back neckline and black bow to cover the stitches. For my four-year-old, I cut size 120. The length was shorten by about 7cm not by choice but by the fabric limitation. I only bought 1m of the fabric and now regret not buying more in different colors (they had the same print in blue and green!).
