Wedding Dress Inpiration | RIME ARODAKY
Since I am working on wedding dresses, my eyes naturally go towards beautiful gowns as I browse through the internet. I wanted to share this French designer, Rime Arodaky. Her designs are beautiful – free spirited, beautiful shape to flatter your body and unexpected back details and cut outs. If you’ve been reading my blog, you know how I have a weak spot for cutouts!
I wish to bring this kind of wedding dresses to Japanese market. Many Japanese brides go for princessy, 18th century ball gown-ish, puffy wedding dresses. The part of the reasons seem like that is what is mostly available in the market. It is more common for the brides to do the rental wedding dresses in Japan, and the dress boutiques have more of the princess line, fluffly dresses than simple A-line or mermaid dresses. Perhaps another reason is the body type – it might be hard to pull off the dresses like Rime Arodaky’s if you are short like many Asian girls are. Whatever the reasons maybe, I would like to bring more of this kind of dresses to Japan as I think they are beautiful and comfortable. You don’t want to spend your wedding day being uncomfortable!

If the bride is slender and the proportions are right I think a dress like that would look lovely even if she is short. I don’t think many people look good in a drop waist though.

Hi Sarah! I think the high waisted ones look great on shorter girls too! I’m not tall (5’5) but I wore a mermaid dress:)
