striped skirt for anthom close up vivat veritasHi! What have you been working on lately sewing wise? I just finished my first batch of orders for Anthom, which is an online shop based in the Washington D.C. area. I am so thrilled to be included in the Anthom launch which is coming up in April. The co-owner Ashley is wonderful to work with and I love her style (and she is pretty). Not only that, Anthom will be carrying great designers, one of which is Samantha Pleet. I have been following Samantha Pleet for a while as you can see in my inspiration post here. (back in 2009.. feels such a long time ago!). She is from Philadelphia, and now is in Brooklyn, I’ve really enjoyed seeing her grow and expand since I found her clothing back in 2009. Now she collaborates with Urban Outfitters and her clothes are stocked in Anthoropologie and Saks Fifth! It is inspiring to see a designer bloom and I would love to follow her path some day…

 

Anyway, these black and white striped skirts will be in stock in Anthom, and they are exclusive items only available there. I like how the side of the skirts look like chevron stripes.

Spring 2013 Lookbook Shoot Behind the Scenes 2

spring 2013 lookbook ryocoMore photos to share with you from the behind the scenes of Spring 2013 lookbook shoot! (Part 1 here) The place is called the “Green House” in Sagamihara city, Kanagawa prefecture. The location hunt for the shoot might be one of the most fun parts of creating a lookbook. Andy actually found this place and recommended that we use it. It is in the middle of nowhere, so the place is never really crowded, which is great for a photoshoot. I love the tropical feel that it gives, since Summer is my favorite season. I also thought the fake waterfall in the garden was fun!

Just a quick announcement about the shop; my shop is now mobile compatible! If you access from your phone or tablet, it automatically changes to mobile-theme. I think it looks much more user-friendly! What do you think?

Lemon Frankie is an online shop based in Australia. Founder, Jessica Atterton is very sweet and easy to work with. She graduated with a degree in International Business and Marketing in 2008 and has combined full-time work in the recruitment industry with several forays into the fashion world. In 2010 she started her own clothing label Uni&Nel, producing a series of stylish and girly creations, and followed this by establishing Lemon Frankie, her first online shopping venture. Jess draws inspiration from her travels, handmade crafts and creative individuals and loves all things cute, quirky and vintage-inspired.
